“…the sort of thing a library is for…”

At the risk of boring those of our followers who also follow our Facebook and Twitter feeds, there are just 5 days left to visit our project exhibition here at Sutton Central Library.  We have been overwhelmed by some of the feedback and comments we have received and are sad that we have to take the boards down come this weekend. The fantastic news is that we are hugely excited to reveal that we have been successful in our recent HLF funding application and can now be certain that the digitisation of this amazing collection will be seen to completion!  More on that in a later post….

If you haven’t yet made it along, and would like to, this is your last chance. The exhibition ends Sunday!

Here are just a handful of the amazing comments we’ve received…be sure to leave us your own feedback if you take a visit….

As part of the exhibition, we have produced a children’s trail, which encourages younger children to search the exhibition for clues and is intended to provoke discussion with parents, older siblings or guardians.  The trail includes a portrait competition, for which there will be a £10 book token prize awarded to the winner. Here are just a few of the entries so far:

Our winner will be revealed at the end of September…Watch this space…
